Ok! There's a slight edition to this post. Anyways, this is one of the few movies tt i've watched more than once. To be exact, it's THREE times. It's pretty ok for me, though it doesn't drive me to wanna watch it again and again.. (sooo looong). But i did have a great time though. It's not really about the movie, but it's the company tt counts yea? ok, so it may look stupid to be watching something more than once when it is only just okay to me. But i guess to all those whom i've watched this movie with, you are worth tt time and $$$ (and stupidity :p). But shan't do this too often. Haxx...

He used to be so full of hope. Quite emotional, yet sensible enough for a 14 year-old. Once at the brink of a fresh start and full of convictions, but now it's all different. Everything bout all those good things seem to have changed.

This is one change I don't want to see anymore. This is one history I don't want to see repeated. It's enough.

"Religion is not the most important thing in my life." I agree totally. I'm not interested in a "must do this, don't do that" kind of life. So, I don't do religion. Technically, I don't have one. I'm just being a messenger of a piece of good news that I've come across, regardless of whether this world wanna hear it or not. And a part of this good news says that there is a way to the most important thing.

Night Cycling's finally over! So there were many hiccups BEFORE we even started, but we still pulled through! Started at Old Choa Chu Kang Road, on to Mandai Road, down Upper Thomson Road to Bishan, Bartley Road, Paya Lebar and finally East Coast! Passing by some of the key camps along the way... It's the first time for many and some only started learning a few days b4, but we still did it. Really heartened to see how most of the brothers were concerned about the slower ones and doing what they can to support them. This whole event isn't about being the first one to complete the whole route but rather to see each other through to the end. Good job everyone! Let this be symbolic of us being united to really see the NEW THING that's gonna be done in NS ministry! Jia you.

"Sianz", "Could there have been more?" and "Why does it not seem as happening as I hope for it to be?" are questions that many people may ask after some events or occassions. Whether it was voiced out or something that we secretly wonder to ourselves, it remains that people are always hoping for something more. We look forward to an event/occassion with the hope of it being really fulfilling. Yet, the way things play out, it felt superficial, with the lingering sense of "I want something more". Life was definitely hard-going when my days went past just like that with these unmet longings and expectations. I'm reminded once again of the need and purpose for a deep and genuine fellowship, and when we gather for a purpose that is higher than ourselves - that is what differentiates us from the world out there. True, certain activities and things we do are probably the same as everyone else, but the significance and meaning behind those things are defninitely much more fulfilling. Going beyond superficial friendships, we bring each other to a purpose that's much bigger than just for ourselves. And I'm glad to be part of it.

On a lighter note, went for chalet with those little dudes. Revisited WWW after like a few years? Lol. Pretty ok for me since I don't go there often. Bumped into Jason and gang, entertained myself by watching ZC and Nic having their water fights. And I've proven my dominance over Gerald in the water! Outcome of War of the Floats - Ah Lee dominated and beat G hands down! Ultimate moves like "Kick Splash" and making use of the terrain and resources were the keys to win. LOL. Ok, so I had fun fanning the fire for bbq, showering people with ashes. :P Also celebrated Nat's birthday and think she had a great time. Now, gotta catch up on sleep b4 Night Cycling this Sat... Haxx...

I've come across some interesting thoughts and experiences recently so thought I'll try to make sense of some of them.

Death is boring. Death is scary. Death is just a pitch of black darkness where one roams around. Endlessly. People fear it cause it'll be torturous to be still like that forever. People look forward to it cause they wanna... hmm.. stop being human and live a simple life of, say... a horse or an eagle? Some are tired of it cause it'll just be a never ending cycle.

Well.. then y bother making the best of this life if all will be lost? In the end, it doesn't even matter, yea?

Dear Mr Joel Lee is enjoying life in his Europe tour now. Life has never been better for him. He talks over a glass of wine everyday cause it is cheaper than water. He's seeing the sights of beautiful scenery. Not to mention the absence of a treacherously hot weather like tt of Singapore. Visiting the Swiss Alps and the different iconic buildings in Europe. So i'm a bit envious. But not for long I guess.

Because after I really make this life count for an eternal purpose, I know it'll be an ending way better than all those luxuries mentioned. It won't even be about the luxuries, but it's where the enduring love lasts forever.

I used to fear the moment when my time here on earth is up, but now it's just a passing phase to something better.

Thanks for making a way. Don't wanna take it for granted anymore.

{ Presenting "The Greatest Woman" Award... }

This post is dedicated to the greatest woman in my life, (though i know she won't be reading this post since she hates computers): HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Yep, 7 June's my mum's birthday. And yes, whoever becomes my life partner has got to accept the fact tt the trophy for "The Greatest Woman" still goes to my mum. Of course, my life partner can have her chances with other trophies like "Most Beloved Woman" or "Most Cherished Woman". In any case, she wouldn't have found a gem like me if not for my mum! :D So, as a practical gift, think I'll try to get my mum, maybe even force her, to accept my subsidy for her camp fee... haha... VERY practical indeed.

Abit painful on my coffers, but, I know she'll have a great, refreshing and divine encounter this camp, and I think that's the best I can do to contribute in a tangible way for now.

In the end, as much as I can try, there is still one who loves her more and is able to take better care of her then me. And tt's a great assurance. :)

{ Level 0 to Level 10 Chicken Wings! }

This is officially the first post about my experience in the UNI-YA MSM team. WJ and Co. decided that we should go for some imba spicy buffalo sauce-marinated chicken wings at Seletar air base for supper. The place is has got quite a nice ambience and a range of spicy wings ranging from Level 1 to 10! 10 being the most spicy. My limit was level 3... haxx. Lvl 4 was enough to kill most peeps. Don't even wanna think abou level 10! Heard they give cerificates for conquering level 10... Thank God they have Level 0, for noobs (like me). OH, and root beer plus tiger beer has got an interesting taste. Courtesy of David, for concocting this Tiger Root Beer.. haha. Maybe this is Tiger Woods' secret recipe to playing golf well, hurhurhur.

Anyway, our meeting lasted from 930pm at 1230am. Sharing bout the different leader's experiences and insights to how His hands are moving throughout the different ministries and praying for differen things. So, i'm not really into late nights. I don't do well from lack of sleep.zzZZ LOL. But if this is one way to contribute to a significant and lasting purpose, then I guess it's worth it. Oh, an interesing convo tt i recall.

ok, so i did one of the craziest thing so far.. like just 4 days into holiday. Covered the whole disance from my house to Seng Kang on foot. Right, so bascially, i jogged. It's an accomplishment! ok, so i did cheated. I had a total of 15min walking and 15min of pause to get a drink. At least the other 1 hour 15 min was pure running! So cut me some slack, I haven't ran for like months! It's a breakthrough for me and oh! It wasn't tt hot. Someone was literally sheltering me with an ummbrella of clouds the whole time round. Lol. The thought of this whole afernoon still seems so unbelievable. But then again, for the COG... Impossible Is Nothing. So... Just Do It!

Interaction between people is complicated and ever-changing. So and so were the best of allies, but now no more. So and so used to be BFF, but now they are like EFE. This happens everywhere. In the office, in the classroom, in camps, even at home. The buddy who used to cover you under firing movement suddenly backstabs u. The classmates u helped with their studies attained more aces than u and then, poof, they just can't seem to notice u anywhere in their lives.

Imperfect people make up the different institutions in this world. And it seems like remaining united and having acceptance towards one another calls for a power beyond this world. And there is such an institution that have access to this out-of-the-world power. Thus, it is the only one institution that stands a chance of achieving that unity and acceptance that everyone (some secretly) longs for. And since it's available for all, why wouldn't I wanna be part of it? Why wouldn't u?

Just being thankful to be part of this refuge. Despite the imperfect pple in it.

Finally... this blog can finally show face! Ok, i've put the credits to some of the key people in helping this blog to get started up and running, but i'll mention it here again, in case pple dun look at the bottom of the page. So here i go: Sis Cong, who conveniently stepped in when Zyann and Co overnighted. Also, thx to T.K.S. who kindly offered to give some pointers too tho he was awaiting his "doom", also to my mercenarious Mr Itchy Egg, who ya-ya papaya-ed his way throughout the whole time but miraculously brought the blog to life!
