31 October 2009 marks the official 1st day that a small rented 3-room flat in Toa Payoh became my new home, at least for the next 6 months or so. It's been a hectic time, packing and packing and now, whatever's packed needs to be unpacked! LOL! 10:56 PM • Sunday, November 1, 2009
Seeing the apartment which I used to live in become so bare and spacious, it really did stir something me. It dawned upon me how much memories it stored for me for the past 17 or so years. I also realized that I'm one that only "feels it" when the moment of event draws near. It's the same with service-leading, going for interviews, moving house etc. Everything is tranquil before that, like the calm before the storm, until just minutes before the storm comes.
Really need to get used to the "new" (it's a pretty old estate) and smaller apartment. Before I know it, the time will come when I'll be moving out again.
Of course, there's no place here that is truly home. Even if it's for 10 years, 60 years, there'll still come the day I really move into a brand new permanent home. Hopefully, i'll get a really big room then. :)
