In an amazing and horrifying twist of events, I'm now stuck overnight at Youth 2009 Level Up Camp.... So decided to use the time to blog! Even as Ps Shirls rallied the Youths to be a generation of people to declare God's goodness to the next and also to be faithful with how much God has blessed them with, I realised that these are not exclusively Youth principles. It is a heartbeat of Hope Church, or rather, it should be the heartbeat of every Christian. To be filled, so that we are ready to pour out and empty ourselves into other lives, and then be filled gain.
Every work that we build will be tested by fire. The lives that we build will go through the test of flame. Only those of good solid materials will withstand the test, not a work that's made up of merely straw. Indeed, lives must be changed in order to carry on and complete the seemingly insurmountable, immensely challenging task of building the church right.
